In 1765, when Britain's Stamp Act tried to squeeze the colonies dry, an underground network of patriots began organizing in taverns and back rooms. They called themselves the Sons of Liberty. They ran the Committees of Correspondence that tied the colonies together, enforced boycotts of British goods, and — on a cold December night in 1773 — boarded three ships in Boston Harbor and threw 342 chests of British tea into the water.

They operated in secret. They defied the most powerful empire on earth. They were, by every definition, an outlaw crew — which is exactly why this design wears the colors of one.

This shirt honors the original American rebels: the men who decided that liberty was worth the risk and acted like it.
